Chiang Mai overview
Chiang Mai, Chiangmai, (in Thai: เชียงใหม่, according to the Royal Thai General System: chiangmai, which means “new city”), nicknamed the “Rose of the North”, is the sixth largest city in Thailand (the second largest considering the agglomeration as a single city, cultural and economic center of the North of the country and capital of the province of Chiang Mai. The municipality of Chiang Mai covers Si Phra Singha, Ya Chang, Chang Chang, Wat Gate and Pa Tan. It also covers parts of Chang Phuak, Suthep, Pung Sun, Nong Hoi, Tha Sala, Nong Pa Phuang and Fa Ha.

Visit the highest viewpoint of Thailand, a wonderful view to contemplate the horizon, followed by the visit of the Wachirathan waterfall, visit and share an unforgettable experience with the famous tribe of white Hmongs as well as their market to buy some souvenirs.
Visit the elephant camp of Maesa, we chose a non-riding tour to preserve the elephant’s health, bathing and spend time with them, and look at their painting skills, visit the Long Karens tribe village and end the beautiful trip with the Queen Sirikit botanical garden, it is the biggest orchids and butterflies farm of Chiangmai.
Departure for Chiangrai, visit the Black House, as well as the hot spring water, Go to the hotel (The famous Riverie by Katathani) and rest there.
Start your day by visiting the (Choui Fong) tea plantation and go to Golden Triangle (Sop Ruak), pass the Lao border and enjoy his local market, have a nice boat trip on the Mekong river and go to the second border located in Mae sai Burma, visit the opium museum and finally end the day by discovering the city.
Have a half-day free time in the city of Chiangrai before hitting the road back to Chiangmai (approximately 3 hours drive).
Visit the home industry district and its artisanal shops (silk, umbrellas, wood, jewellery…).
Visit the lacquer factory.
